Inspired by the ready-made poetry of Armando, STAINLESS explores the nature of modernity. The public is invited to speed up the process. But do they know what kind of process they are enhancing? And do they have any other options? STAINLESS is the third project by Sjors Swierstra and Sjoerd Oostrik. In the past they have made Hart van de Wijk, a documentary on the co-existence of different social groups in an old neighbourhood, and De Suikercyclus, portraits of three men working in the sugar industry.

Sjors Swierstra is curator at the Armando Museum and researcher for the Noorderlicht Photo Festival. Sjoerd Oostrik is pursuing a degree in documentary film directing at the Film Academy in Amsterdam.
